Silk Screen Printing: Iridescent Beetle

Inspired by the natural iridescence and bright colors found in beetles, this edition utilizes a layering technique with 5 translucent custom-mixed inks. This creates the illusion of more colors being present where multiple ink colors overlap. There is also an iridescent medium mixed into the inks on the uppermost layers, which when caught by the light, produces a shimmering effect. This piece was shown as part of the "CMYK" exhibition September 2019 at ArtWorks Gallery.
